How To Play

Each guess must be a Bollywood movie released in or after 2000.
After each guess, the game will reveal those features (like Year of Release, Genre, Cast, Crew) of the Mystery Movie that are in common with the Guessed Movie.
A new game is available at midnight everyday. You can play for the missed days in the Past Days’ Games.

Say, the Mystery Movie is Rang De Basanti (2006). At the outset, you don’t know anything about the Mystery Movie (other than the fact that it was released in or after the year 2000). You have to logically apply your tremendous Bollywood knowledge to guess the Mystery Movie. Let’s see how using an example.

Your first guess is Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). The game will show you if there are any commonalities between the Mystery Movie and your Guessed Movie.
The game reveals two things: one, that the only common Genre between the Mystery Movie and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is Drama. Two, have a look at the Year of Release part of the screen: the Mystery Movie was released after 2001, i.e. the year in which Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was released.
This does not reveal a lot about the Mystery Movie, but we can infer much more. We now know that, for instance, SRK, Big B, Kajol, etc. (actors in the Guessed Movie) are not in the Mystery Movie. We also know, for instance, that Karan Johar is not the director of the Mystery Movie.
You have six more attempts to finally guess the Mystery Movie. And we’ll even give you lifelines if you struggle, don’t worry.

For your second attempt, you guess 3 Idiots (2009). Look at the game screen!
The game now tells you that not only are Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and Madhavan a part of the Mystery Movie, they are Cast Members 1, 3 and 8 (as listed in film credits); that the Mystery Movie was released between 2001 and 2009; and that the Mystery Movie had Comedy and Drama as two of its Genres!
The astute among you will now be able to guess that surely this Aamir-Sharman-Madhavan movie is Rang De Basanti (2006). Entering that will win you the game.
